The Cardinals' starting pitching depth took a hit after right-hander Richard Fitts underwent season-ending surgery to repair a right lat strain.
The Cardinals received late home run from Ivan Herrera and Nolan Gorman to secure a 9-4 win vs. Houston on Friday night at Daikin Park.
Hitless with three strikeouts before he stepped to the plate in the seventh inning Friday night vs. the Astros, Cardinals third baseman Nolan Gorman hit his first homer since March 30 to help secure a 9-4 win.
