Jamie Kopf and Josh Winstral have lived in their 110-year-old colonial style home in University City for over 10 years and have slowly worked on updating each room in their home, complete with a vintage 1970s pinball machine and a working Wurlitzer jukebox.

“I found in looking at houses that you start to learn what you gravitate toward. I learned that I like symmetrical houses. The foursquare colonials and the center hall layouts were the ones that I was more drawn to,†Kopf says.

As music lovers, one of the family’s most cherished heirlooms is a 1940s Wurlitzer jukebox that once belonged to Winstral’s grandparents.
A light-filled room at the back of the house that was once a playroom for the kids is now a cozy space where the family enjoys listening to records together or playing a game of pinball on a vintage machine that was in Kopf’s grandmother’s basement when she was growing up. A gallery of family photos hangs on the wall.
The sunny dining room is a fun mix of modern and antique furnishings with built-in corner China cabinets. The gold-painted embossed vinyl wallcovering under the chair rail is reminiscent of old tin ceilings.
