Nursing professionals show up every day with skill, compassion and dedication - often in life’s most critical moments. They comfort us, advocate for us and stand by our side when we need it the most. Now, it’s time to recognize the difference they make.
The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ, with support from presenting sponsor , title sponsor and supporting sponsors ²¹²Ô»åÌý, is asking the community to nominate outstanding nursing professionals through this special reader-submission campaign.
How it works
From February 8 through April 5, readers can submit a brief nomination about a nurse who has made a meaningful impact in their life. New for 2026: Readers should come back each day to vote for their favorite submissions.
The four nominations that receive the most votes will receive four tickets to a 2026 St. Louis Cardinals home game. ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ will also be recognized, along with all nominated nursing professionals, in the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ and on STLtoday on Sunday, May 10 during National Nurses Week.
Show your gratitude
Think about the nursing professional who has cared for a family member during a difficult time. Or the school nurse who looks after both students and staff. Remember the ICU nurse who is vulnerable, but who offers calm and comfort to your loved one. Don’t forget about the virtual nurse who answers your call in the middle of the night when your symptoms appear unexpectedly.
